Present: Paul (minutes), Hannah, Bernard, Kate, Leah (facilitator), Wren, Beryl, Joshua, Amelia, Lorenzo, Graham, Chinhae, Len, Stormie, Russ, Alyssa, Philip
Kit (second meeting, approved)
Minutes approved.
Kate: Mailboxes getting delivered tomorrow.
Wren and Beryl are new members! They are skilled at things.
(Auto) Belated officer report meeting.
Stormie, steward: Going good. Tracey’s eviction hearing is scheduled for Tuesday. I will be there via Zoom.
Len, treasurer: I learned a bunch about Quickbooks. Got the checks done, they’ll be deposited tomorrow. I’ve got security deposits for people. I’m still learning!
Chinhae & Kate, maintenance: 208 is still not quite habitable. There were fleas and we’re waiting for Zandria’s dogs to be old enough to get flea treatment. There’s been other maintenance in there, including a new fridge, which will be coming Tuesday. The window glass also needs to be cut before we can replace the window.
Maintenance: There’ll probably be a NASCO walkthrough in January or February. We want to fix the water-damaged siding by the garage and install peepholes in every door before that. Everything else in progress.
Bernard: Zandria & Jose still want a flea-fogging pest service.
Maintenance: Plan is vacuum and clean and do spray with insect growth inhibitor. We’ll do that or get ABC treatment to do that, and flea-treat their pets, and that should do it.
Philip, grounds: My people are doing their jobs.
Paul: One of the trellises is hanging super-low after the rain.
Grounds: I'll get McAllen to look at it.
Leah, board: Financial restructuring continues at glacial speeds. There’s been some resistance from Sasona about moving to UFCU. Discussions are ongoing. We’re going to try to get more of our own books done by our own bookkeepers and treasurers and fewer done by Key Figures. Ideally they’re just inspecting once a year.
Logan, membership: We have new members! People are on the waitlist. One member has a big dog and they want to move in ASAP, but the dog is not compatible with any of the current spots available. A few openings are coming up.
Leah: What vacancies exist right now?
Logan: Philip’s, Dwain’s, and Bernard’s after the 208 move-in. I have people for the Dwain & Bernard spots when they open, not signed yet.
Russ, bookkeeper: We have numbers. Positive numbers. Twelve people still have to pay this month. Last month everyone paid their payment plans. It’s good.
Alyssa, food buyer: Things are going good. I’m buying the staples requested for the dinner cook crew, not other staples like milk or the like. You can request those if you have something specific to use them with. I’m still buying TP and paper towels and keeping an eye on kitchen trash bags.
Bernard, labor czar: We need another person for Dinner Cleanup (DCU) on a few nights. We don’t have a cook Wednesday. Cooks shouldn’t switch it up on different nights, they should have a night and stick with it. Maintenance has a good number of workers. New members should come talk to me and get assigned labor.
Paul: It would be good to have a labor holiday some point this season.
Maintenance: That’s also our responsibility. We’ll talk about it.
Logan (Nynka in absentia, events): That band still wants to play here, but they still want to get paid.
Point of information: Stuff like that would take an agenda item.
Fall Ball at Sasona! Next Saturday, 7:30-1:30, costumes encouraged.
A karaoke night is suggested, to general assent.
