Wiki Updates & Announcements

Paul has updated the membership review policy language according to the agenda items from last week.

Agenda Item 1

(Radish) I think we should consider putting some of our foodbuyer budget towards getting some tupperwares because it seems like most nights leftovers just get put in the fridge uncovered in the dish they were cooked in which is a) not food safe and b) means there's one less dish for the next cook to cook out of. Also lots of it ends up sitting in the fridge and going moldy which is a waste of our food and money.

<Many people are in agreement that this is useful.>

Point of interest: Alyssa the food buyer has already ordered Tupperware.

Point of interest: Hopefully they’re the big ones.

Tabled.

Agenda Item 2

(Stormie) Spend \$500 on a new brother printer and scanner for the office.

Clarifying question: Where would this fund come from?

POI: Probably office supplies. We haven’t used it in a while.

POI: Stormie said she’d send out an email about which model it was.

POI: Maybe we should hold off until we know which model.

Tabled until more information is provided.

Agenda Item 3

(Joshua (Steward)) Wants to know if and how a ban from Sasona could be lifted.

POI: This is an agenda for a Sasona item. We can’t do anything relevant here.

Item not taken up.

New business

Kate, maintenance: Len approved the money to get new dryers. It’s going to be $4000 for two of them, but we are getting the ones that are the same brand as the washers, which have been “low-maintenance.” I will buy them tomorrow, and maybe they’ll be delivered by the end of the week. People can use the submission form on the website. It still doesn’t go directly to the Trello but I get an email about it.
-
Bernard: We’re going to hold off the labor holiday until March 2nd-3rd.
-
Corey: The same people facilitate meetings a lot. I’d like more people to do that if they want. Not to volunteer people who don’t want to, but I think it’s good for more people to know and be capable of this. I’d like to run a brief seminar educating people on facilitation, stacks, and why we structure our discussions this way. Would there be interest in that?

POI: <Several people express interest.>
-
Logan: I’m trying to figure out who knows how to make keys and who needs to be taught to make keys.
-
Paul: No policy changes this week. I had a good talk with Jason Tompkins of NASCO and NP board. I need to forward the good info he provided to the board. Expect more in the coming weeks.
